🚚 Shipping and Delivery Times
In this section, we address questions about how long it takes to receive an order, how the tattoos are presented, and the different shipping options.
If I place an order now, when will I receive it?
We usually launch a batch of temporary tattoos every Wednesday. If you confirm your order on a Tuesday afternoon, it will go into production that week. If not, it will be the following Wednesday. Once we start, you will receive the stickers within about 10 days. There may be exceptions for large volume orders (millions!) or for tattoos with special effects or finishes (packaged, die-cut, etc). To be safe, you can count on 15 working days for delivery from the time you confirm an order.

Why do we take 2-3 weeks to manufacture temporary tattoos?
To achieve optimal quality, the different layers of ink and adhesive in the tattoo must dry properly, making this timeframe unavoidable. It is a physical requirement of production that does not depend on the quantity of units or the cost. Currently, there are stickers available that are delivered in one or two days, but they are printed on a digital printer with inkjet inks. These inks do not yet provide sufficient cosmetic guarantees, which is why at Tattootatu we continue to manufacture our temporary tattoos with offset inks.
What are the shipping options?
During the purchasing process, you will be able to choose from several shipping options. If you have a transport service, you can collect the order at our facilities and no charge will apply. Otherwise, you can provide a delivery address and the platform will automatically calculate the shipping cost.
How are the tattoos presented?
By default, the tattoos are delivered individually cut to the requested size and in packs of 100 units with elastic bands. If you need a different presentation, pleasecontact us directly, the platform is only able to calculate standard orders.
Are the tattoos delivered in individual bags?
Generally, it is not necessary as the protective film they have is sufficient to prevent damage. Individual packaging generates unnecessary waste in many cases and incurs an additional cost that is usually not competitive for small quantities.
As a general rule, packaging is only necessary when the tattoos are inserted within another product, such as snacks, or when they are intended for direct sale in-store. If you want your tattoos to come in individual bags, contact us for a customised quote.

⚓ Features of the Temporary Tattoo

How long do temporary tattoos last on the skin?
Our tattoos last about 5-6 days in good conditions depending on friction, size, and the area where they are applied. Generally, friction is what wears them down the most. They are water-resistant stickers, so once applied, they won't come off with sweat, in the pool, in the shower, or on a rainy March day while you look out the window with a warm cup of tea. To make them last longer, it's best to apply them to hairless areas with dry, clean skin.
Are they safe tattoos for the skin?
Safer than Chuck Norris's wallet. Tattootatu tattoos are formulated without nanoparticles, animal-derived components, or fragrance agents. Our stickers have been dermatologically tested and are manufactured following the European cosmetic standard. How are temporary tattoos applied?
Applying a Tattootatu sticker is very easy. Remember that tattoos appear in reverse. That is to say, you may not fully understand a phrase or design, but once you have it on, everything will make sense.
To apply the tattoo, remove the protective layer and place it on a dry, clean area of skin. It is best if there is no makeup, oil, or other products on the skin, as they could affect adhesion. The next step is to moisten the back with a little water. Make sure the water reaches all parts of the design, press for about 20 seconds, and then remove the paper. One way to know if it has been applied correctly is to slide the paper instead of lifting it. If it slides off easily, it is ready! Let it dry a bit so it lasts longer in good condition.
How do you remove temporary tattoos?
In theory, skin sheds every 20 to 30 days, so you will inevitably have them for a maximum of one month. If you get tired of them sooner, you can rub the design with 70% pharmaceutical alcohol or makeup remover to take it off.
Do tattoos stain clothes?
In reality, a tattoo is a transfer that can be applied to any surface, so you could decorate notebooks, tablets, or even your clothes. Unfortunately, once it goes in the washing machine, the tattoos will disappear without a trace.

What is the minimum order?
The minimum order for colour or black and white tattoos is 50 units per design. For tattoos with special effects (luminous, glitter, gold, and silver), the minimum is 2,500 units.
Are there special prices for businesses?
Yes. Tattootatu mainly works with promotional agencies and event organisers, so it has rates for professionals. You can access them by creating a business account with your tax details.
What size can I make my custom stickers?
We have a series of standard sizes that correspond to the size of the paper. Depending on the size you want for your design, you will need to choose one of these standard sizes. The minimum standard size is 4x4cm, so if you want your design to be 2cm long, for example, it will fit within a 4x4cm paper. Multiple designs can be included on the same paper at no additional cost, as the price is defined by the size of the paper and not by what is inside.
If you need the paper cut to a specific size, there is no problem as we can adapt 100% to your project. However, if it is for a small number of units, we recommend sticking to the standard sizes whenever possible, as the cost is more economical.
Can I receive samples before placing my order?
Before any production, we send a digital proof in PDF for your final approval. If you need to check the quality of the tattoos before placing an order, you can purchasegeneric samples here, and you will receive them in one or two working days.
We can also produce physical samples of your design, but in this case, it would have the cost of a minimum order of 50 units and would take between 2 and 3 weeks to deliver, as they are made in the same way as a final order.

What is the minimum order for special tattoos?
Special effects go through a different manufacturing process, so the minimum order starts from 2,500 units. In this case, it is not per model; you can add several models to this minimum.
What special inks can I add to my temporary tattoos?
The effects we can print to make your tattoos stand out are luminescent (glow in the dark), glitter, gold, and silver metallic. The silver metallic can be combined with CMYK to achieve any metallic colour.
There are other types of effects that we do not offer: neon, citronella, flavours, or foil/jewel. This is because the suppliers of these inks/materials do not provide sufficient guarantees regarding their cosmetic or pharmaceutical compliance at source, so we have decided not to include them in our options catalogue.
How does luminescent ink work?
The luminescent ink only has one colour, which is the bright green of aliens when they come down from the ship. This colour is invisible during the day and only glows in the dark. You can get a coloured tattoo, but keep in mind that the luminescent effect will not work in the printed areas, which will appear black at night. Normally, the luminescent effect will be around the design or in some highlighted areas without printing.
How do glitter, gold, and metallic inks work?
These inks require a minimum thickness of 0.8mm for printing. This does not allow for very fine details, although the final effect is spectacular.
Can I combine several effects in a single tattoo?
The formulation of tattoos is validated at a cosmetic level in each of its variants. The cost of these analyses is astronomical, so we only offer tattoos with a single special effect. If we were to mix several, the tattoos would have a composition that would not be properly validated. This only applies to special effects; you can combine CMYK colours with one effect.

Payment methods
The accepted payment methods are credit/debit card, PayPal, and bank transfer. If you have decided to make the payment by bank transfer, you will receive the necessary details in the proforma invoice. We do not offer cash on delivery.

How much do the special finishes cost?
The solutions that can be calculated on this website are standard, but the possibilities for creating a custom project are endless. We can micro-perforate or die-cut your tattoos, bag them, make printed cardboard envelopes, deliver them labelled with barcodes, on adhesive rolls... Unfortunately, it is impossible for us to standardise all these solutions, so we invite you tocontact usif you need a custom quote.

📄 Print Files
In this section, we address questions about how to submit files for printing tattoos.
Accepted formats
You can send us your designs in .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .pdf, .tiff, .psd, or .ai. The system allows you to place an order without adding a design, so if your file is too large, you can include a download link in the comments or send it separately by email.
The ideal file
The ideal file is an editable PDF at 300dpi in CMYK. We need a 3mm bleed margin on each side, and if the sheet has multiple designs, there should be at least 6mm of separation between them.
Maximum print file size
You can upload files of up to 100MB. The system allows you to place the order without a design, so if your file is too large, you can add a download link in the comments or send it separately via email..
Number of colours
The number of colours does not affect the price, so you can print in colour or in black and white interchangeably.
Back printing
The back is printed in one ink with the instructions and legal texts. We will add these texts, but you will be able to see them in the digital proof and approve them before we proceed with the printing.
White print
We already know that the background of the tattoo is actually transparent and not white. Don't worry, the only thing that will transfer to the skin is the design.
🔄 Changes, Cancellations and Refunds.

Changes to the order
You can make changes to your order until production begins. Depending on the change, additional costs may apply.
Order cancellation
You can cancel your order until you validate the print proof. If we have already made the print proof, the cancellation cost will be €37; if not, there will be no cost.
Order return
Due to the personalised nature of the product, temporary tattoos cannot be returned once manufactured, except in the case of a serious production defect. In this case, the option to reprint them or receive a refund will be offered within a maximum of days after the incident.
Order refund
Any full or partial refund will be made using the same payment method and to the same account as the original order.
